While it would be nice it doesn't hinder performance. Remember performance > aesthetics.... I would do the Coopers.

I'll try to get pictures this weekend. I would go for the C Load Coopers over the Grabbers.

I had these on my Tacoma and I have to say they were some of the worst tires I have ever had. Tread wear was horrible and once they started getting excessive wear they were absolutely dangerous on wet roads.

I have the Pep Boys model "Adventurer A/T." So far so good after 14 months.

Load Range C. More versatility. Drop the PSI to 32 front/30 rear unloaded and the around town ride is quite nominal. Go to 36/34 for highway cruising or moderate loads. Go higher if needed for heavy loads or towing. Drop down to anywhere between 20 and 30 for snow, sand, moderate crawling or whatever floats your boat. Always stable and true in every situation. No, not as soft as a P-series, but hey, it is, after all, a truck and one that benefits from proper shoes. I'm on my second set of 275/70-17s and they're amazing. No, they don't have the aggressive look of a KO2 or Duratrac, but they cover about 98% of the situations I would ever come across.....and I get a loooooong way from nowhere on occasion. Yes, they are more puncture resistant too, no doubt about it. Like I said previously, this is a "fire and forget" tire that just about does it all and very well at that. I really can't imagine a more versatile tire for the vast, vast bulk of Tacoma owners.

I've had P265/75/16's on my truck for almost 3 years and 48,000 miles. Nothing I can add, they simply work. If I were the type to drive them down to the legal minimum I might get close to 60,000 out of them. I wrote the check for $550, got an $80 rebate. Just bought another set for my F-150 and expect the $70 rebate any day. I had them on a Wrangler too.

The P series tires are rated to haul MORE than C rated LT's and exactly the same as D rated tires. Anything that will puncture the tread on a P series will puncture the tread on a C or D rated tire. The LT's have a tougher sidewall. If you drive a lot in large loose rock with low air pressure the P's are more likely to get the sidewall cut.

I ended up with P285/70/17's. What PSI are y'all running at?

After about 32k miles, it's almost time to replace my at20's. After reading this post and a few others I decided to go with the Cooper AT3 265 70 r17 for my stock '15 Sport.

I drive mostly highway on cruise control. What would be the best psi to run for the P series?

Start out around 36fr & 34rr and adjust from there.

Thanks, I will. Sorry for being a newbie, but what should I look for to know I need to adjust the psi up or down?

think you've finally convinced me that these (in C-load) will be my next tires.

Just got some 265 AT3's put on my 06 for 170 per tire, plus a 75(i think) mail in rebate. Been 4 or so days and as of right now I am very happy with them. They seemed to be the best option for me, driving 22 miles each way to work, and occasionally adventuring into the woods. Can't vouch for how well they preform off road, but on road, thus far they have been excellent. Very quiet and very smooth. Was HOPING that the pulsating vibration at 70 mph would go away with fresh rubber and balance, but it's still there. Regardless that's not the tires fault apparently. All I can figure at this point is re balance the drive shaft? [IMG]

Good luck with the P rating if you come to NM. Only using E's now myself.
Love the Coopers but pricey here. Most ranchers/outfitters I know use them on Tacomas,sheriffs/G&F are running them in E's or going with a kevlar type.

"P-metric tires used on passenger cars and station wagons are rated to carry 100% of the load indicated on the tire's sidewall (or listed for the tire in industry load/inflation charts). However, if the same P-metric tires are used on light trucks, (pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles for example), their carrying capacity is reduced to 91% of the load indicated on the tire's sidewall."

S20170629_211216.jpg so i got my coopers at'3 on the E rated load are this good for 99% highway driver some regular loading and not off road . Got the tires for a good deal ( i know a friend deal ) but didn't know on the load range. Any of you have this on E Rated for daily driver ? Or should i sell them and get a different load range .

You'll be fine with the E, it'll just ride a bit stiffer. You may have to run slightly lower than normal tire pressure.

A chalk test will give you the best idea, but to start with I'd go 32 front and 28 rear
