As long as you aren’t drastically changing your OD, the stock spare should be just fine to get you home or to somewhere to plug it.

No I’m Over 2 inches o.d. from the measly oem tire. I got a good deal on the rugged treks so I can use my stock rims which are alloys I want to shlt can the steel wheel for the spare and get a lone alloy wheel matching mine. That’s the ultimate goal.

Matching spare rotated in will save 20% wear on your other tires…

I ended up getting a wheel on flea bay for 120$. The extra tire is on the way. I dunno if a tpms will be with the rim or not. I hope so that’s a twenty dollar bill right there.

Load range? Stock suspension? I'm interested in picking up a set of the E load 265/70r17, but they are 32.01". Afraid they will rub on stock suspension.

Popping in here again, my tires are doing great! Putting less miles on them now that i WFH. I Was looking to re-up as the wife and i now own a 4runner and are looking for some tires for it….when did these things become $225 a pop? Attached is what i paid in June of ‘21 at tire rack - to what they are now on there.:annoyed:

The hell with it. Do 2 knife and 2 mountain. When you rotate tires and you get two of the same in each side get a bottle of your favorite bourbon. Why the heck not?

And when you get a knife and a mountain on the same side? A bottle of my least favorite bourbon?

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
I had Wildpeaks on my Ram. Got to try these Rugged Treks in the snow today, they're noticeably better IMO.

I just ordered a set of these Rugged Treks in 285/70r17 with some Method 705 bead Grip wheels for my Cement Taco build. 2.5" Bilstein Front Lift, 1.5" AAL Rear Lift, on a TRD Off-Road. I'll add photos once they arrive in a few days. Long time wheeler, I just replaced my 437K mile 1st Gen Tundra that was built on 35's with this Tacoma.

My 17" Method 705 Bead Grips with +0 Offset with 285/70r17 Cooper Rugged Treks arrived today and I just finished installing them. I had to remove the front mud flaps, and I don't have any rubbing at all. I am going to clear off some of the plastic where it normally rubs so that I don't have issues when I run chains in the winter but I chose Knife Blade Out. To me it just looks more like a mud tire that way, where the Mountains looked more busy and like an AT.

Nice you have any issues with your TSS safety features? Lights in dash or radar cruise not working etc.

I just put 350 miles on the truck today loaded up and towing our small 14ft Lund boat and still got 16 MPGs after factoring the extra 4.1 miles per 60 miles driven. I used the cruise a couple of times and everything seemed to work. I will be installing the Pro Grill here in a couple of weeks when it shows up, which should correct any calibration or distance issues. I was driving through the middle of Eastern Washington so there was little to no traffic. I haven't had any lights come on the dash so I guess it's all working right.
