I'm running the same size as you in the hills and see about 16-17mpg. The mileage hit is worth it for these sweet tires tho

Interesting... and I live in Florida, flat, at sea level, drive consciously, and little city driving. No weight added to truck. Not sure what is up with mine...

I have no idea. I just hauled a trailer to North Carolina and back that was about 2k lbs and averaged 14.9 which I didn't think was bad

265/75/16 installed today. 1st impression is favorable for sure. Looks great, very chunky but quiet around town, pulls right but have Firestone lifetime alignment so all good.

Got them dirty on the way home. Low range diff locked wouldn't climb a freshish dirt pile rear tires on solid ground front digging to China. Not a real test but still a guy wants his new tires to climb a freaking tree!

My 153k '09 should make it to 200k on these skins so

Interested to see how noise will change at 82mph highway speeds and after 10k miles.

Biggest reason to get these tires are 2 fold.
    1st...made in USA :oldglory:
2nd now I can whip it off onto any old fire road or trail or whatever I feel like without worrying about a puncture or sticking it in a puddle :burnrubber:

Oh yeah, I will have to trim the corner of the flares because rubbin'.

What psi is everyone running on the road? I had 255/85r16 put on a couple months ago and stupidly never checked. Seemed fine. Checked tires today so I could set up my auto deflators and they are at 30psi. Manufacturer suggest 80 but that seems crazy high. Any help?

I have a 1st gen 4 door with camper shell and drawers. No aftermarket bumpers

I'd run stock pressure if not a tad lower since these are fairly stiff tires. The 80psi is Max pressure.... for 3/4 and 1 ton trucks, for example my F250 calls for 80psi.

The manufacturer does not recommend 80psi. That is the MAX recommended pressure.
To find what the manufacturer recommends for your vehicle, find the chart they have specific to weight rating per tire at specified PSI.

The chart will look something like this (this is NOT the correct chart):

I could not find one for Cooper, but I'm sure they have one. Use the rating specified for your vehicle to find the corresponding PSI.

I have 255/85R16 on my 2018 Taco and have been running these tires for almost 40k. I would say they have held up really well, just rotate every 5k and they will last. They were super quiet for about 10k, after that they are loud.
