I have them in the 305/70/16 size on my truck. TONS of photos in my build thread and my impressions on them. Great tire.

FWIW, I just put a set of Cooper A/TW's on my truck last month and finally got to test them in the snow today, and boy do they handle well in the snow. I used to think the Duratracs were decent in the snow, but with these A/TW's on the truck I don't even need it in 4WD to get around town in the snow. They handle pretty well in dry weather and are quiet on the highway too, but I did lose about 1MPG because the tires have a softer compound and/or because they are stock size (265/70-16) whereas the Duratracs were slightly larger (265/75-16). I have no regrets about getting the Coopers except that I wish I went with the larger size again.

I think I'm going to keep these as winter tires and get a new set of wheels and larger A/T3's for summer use.

Getting 31"s on 15"s for now and stepping up to 33"s on 15"s in the future. I have a 3.4L. You didn't miss it. I thought I posted that, but I didn't.

I don't off road much right now, but my truck so t setup suspension wise they way I want to, yet But, planning on getting that done, soon. Like the idea of having the ST Maxx because it is a little more aggressive, just in case I need them.

I believe the KOs that I currently have are E rated.

Unfortunately, from what I have seen, the Maxx isn't offered in a skinny 33". But, I hope they will offer it I do not want to get wider wheels and fiberglass fenders to run the regular 33"s.

The only problem with the ATP's for me is that they are only offered at Discount tire, which there is one local by me. But, my concern is trying to find a Discount tire out on the road if I need a replacement.

Probably the most popular tire chain in America honestly.

The St Max is available in a C range for 33x12.5-15. I couldn't find a weight, but the SST Pro 33" C is 57lbs

Understand your concern about not having a Discount Tire nearby. The AT3 is handled by anyone who sells Coopers, but it may not be as aggressive as you are looking for.

Another option is the 255/75/17 or 255/85-16 You can get four 16" or 17" Toyota rims that owners have swapped out on Craigslist for $250-$300. Just make sure they match your hubs!

Ok, I wonder if they do lifetime alignment, like Firestone.

Does anyone know if the 265/75-16 ATP's come in C load range? The AT3's do, but I don't find the ATP in that size and load range on Discount Tires website.

Great question, would like to know as well. Considering these tires in same size.

I've had a set of P265/75/16 Cooper A/T3's on my Tacoma for 2 years and 35,000 miles. Don't under estimate them as an off road tire. Looks can be deceiving and I've found them to perform just as well in mud as any other AT tire. You'll have to move up to a true mud tire to do any better and even then the difference isn't as great as most folks think. I've been driving 4X4's for over 40 years and in my youth was convinced I had to have the most aggressive mud tire on my trucks. Over the years I've discovered that there are very, very few places I can't go with a decent AT tire. Driving skill trumps equipment every time. These have been excellent on snow/ice, as well as wet or dry pavement. They ride smooth and quiet.

I talked to my tire dealer about LT's vs P's. He tells me he sees zero difference in the number of flats between them, but the P's will certainly ride much better than an "E" rated tire on a Tacoma. I've had a few flats over the years, some with LT's, some with P's. I can't tell any difference either. FWIW, if you look at the specs the P's are rated for exactly the same weight as a "D" rated LT and more than a "C" rated LT. I paid $480 OTD after the $80 rebate on my P's. I couldn't see paying more for a tire that would ride rougher and offer no advantage on a light truck. On a 3/4 ton yes, Tacoma, no. $480 for a tire that will last me over 50,000 miles is a steal.

Recently went to the A/T'3's (265/65/17) and so far they are performing great....

Ugggh. You guys are making it difficult for me to decide. I was pretty much set on the Maxx. It's going to be a couple to a few weeks before I actually pull the trigger. So, I have time to research more.

One tire that I haven't found much info on is the ATP. Is that in between the ST Maxx and the AT3? It looks slightly more aggressive than the AT3, but less than the ST Maxx.

I had the ATPs on my 01 4Runner for 3yrs,great tire. Slightly more aggressive than the AT3,over 20k on them still looked new. Went through snow like a champ. However, they had a hum around 40ish mph that was quite annoying. I got a smokin' deal on my AT3s or I would've gone with the ATPs.

so, then you prefer the ATP's over the AT3?
