Have you used the deadman for anything yet? Mines still unused as of now. Honestly its alot more of a pain to carry around than I was hoping, but I figure if Im out in sandy areas Ill throw it in.

I agree kind of a pain to store it doesnt fold up well. But its made well! I carry mine since i dont have a tree strap or rock strap figure i use this instead. Havent needed it yet, but there will be that one time i will so it lives in the truck.

Here’s that tour video I was telling you about, think the layout could be better but you can see how easy it is to add living area to a steel garage building.

Yup, only thing you have to figure out first is where doors and windows go. Its engineered with those in mind, and cables to keep it from moving around. Other than that, its just throwing down a bunch of walls to fill it up.

Spend some time on the design/ layout, it will pay off in end. That video has some good stuff and some stupid shit, aircraft hanger doors, really...

Yup, I downloaded NanoCAD. Its basically a free autoCAD. Most of the commands I remember are the same and it looks the same. So I've been trying to figure out a floorplan. I need to call and see the price differences for the different heights of the buildings and pitches of the roofs. I'll probably go with a single story house build out but have room for a loft in the garage where the lift wont be for storage and other work areas.

A pull through (meaning roll up doors opposite each other) might be handy, it’s another nit I have with that video.

I've always thought it would be nice (for areas that dont already have hurricane force winds on a daily basis). But since it is windy as FOK, I'll probably just throw one on the far end facing east so it can be tall and there will be plenty of room to pull in and park, or hit the lift which may be at an angle towards a corner. And facing east it might try and suck stuff out, but wont blast the garage full of snow when its open for a short time.
