well @Coot83 should be a happy camper after this weekend. Getting him and extra 3” of uptravel by fixing his bump stop location from the shop the botched his original dmz install. And he can still probably get another 1” of droop once we get some adjustable clevis’s for his limit straps. I should charge more for fixing this disaster of an install.

Couldn’t have said it better....supposedly the premier of Toyota rock crawling in VA too. I would love to post my situation on a site that would create negative visibility for them.

My ass is lucky that Ryan exists to make this ish right.

Bro you need to learn how to weld. You are already an engineer. You could have done it yourself. Plus you can only blame yourself if something breaks vs paying someone to fuck it up for you.

This is how I feel about my runner. If I break something it's because my welding sucks lol

I agree with ya and I want a welder bad...but still don’t have the right living situation yet to yield owning one. Once I get a house with a garage with a working electrical outlet I’m sure I will be shopping for one as I came close a few times to signing up for a welding class. I would really love to learn how to bend pipe and weld.

Check out this playlist on YouTube. Really good instructional videos on tube bending.

Makes sense. I jumped on a training mig machine here on base. Its incredible how advanced technology is for learning to weld with these machines. It's all virtual even with the gun and helmet.

Dont get a harbor freight bender. It kinks the metal instead of bending. I'll show you my setup next week man! I'm stoked you are headed up here.

Ended up going to Geiser Brothers racing today just to fill up my hydro bumps...damn any of these rigs would have been epic to take a ride in.

Couldn’t help myself and told the owner I was interested in offering free help. He took down my info and said he would be in touch since race season is coming up. Probably would be shop bitch at best, but just being in the scene would be rad as hell.

Totally forgot since we survived the weekend that @snowsk8air2 totally revamped the rear! We were scared the stupid charcoal canister was gonna be our demise, but it was a solid weekend with even some shooting! Thanks Ryan for always keeping my rig alive!

    The list:
    Boxed rear frame
Adjusted the shocks with the proper spacers
Removed and welded new bump cans
    Trimmed the sua bolts
    Extended fuel filler neck
    Replaced charcoal canister

Def quite a bit of shit...

Ended up getting some new speakers and am chilling now waiting for them to go in. Also got that damn bike rack off finally after seeing Ben at his shop. Had a situation with the thumb though while trying to hold the crusty bolt to be cut. Feels good not having that ruckus behind it and got a dakine tailgate pad that I’m throwing on tonight. Almost got the truck all cleaned up...just need that bearing now.
