Haha bro it’s always a good time with the angry white taco! Had a good time with some fast stuff, shooting, and some legit chillin with the Mike(s). The girl stepped it up with some bigger guns!

Well I’m once again waiting for a fun install to be completed...new radio deck as my stock one has been a little weird and it’s nice to have an update. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Hung out with the ADS team up in flag this weekend while they were dialing in @DMCtacoma nasty taco. That thing is the next level for sure...don’t know if I will ever hit those goals! Between some whoop eating, riding in the rock rat, and just a solid time with good people it was a great weekend!

While we were out doing a run I ended up busting a tab on one of my taillights and was successful in bribing @snowsk8air2 into fabbing up some metal ones that are similar to basik bikers design with kc cyclones for the lights. These are still being developed, but crazy at how much ryan has already done while he wasn’t working. Pumped to get these on when they are ready!

Funny quote from Tyler at ADS: “What’s up with you fags and these red Toyota’s?”

Ended up getting these lca gussets installed and putting in new uniballs for my ucas and lcas today.

Looking forward to getting these dmz motor and trans mounts installed today too which should complete the truck as far as gusseting and reinforcement. I don’t foresee much else unless I get a daily and have time to drop it off at a shop for a while.

For those who haven’t heard of lca gussets...they are not the tc cam tabs. There have been mid travel guys who have bent their lower control arm mounts by not having these although it’s def encouraged to prevent frame fatigue for the go fast guys.

Last major project left after today is to get in the tundra steering rack from @Basikbiker and then figure out that install. My current rack is alive and good, but don’t want to get screwed when the time comes so I’m being preventative with this. Especially with doin more whoop stuff out here I’m sure it’s pushing it more and more.

Hmmm, which I could look at a truck right now, there are some hilux around... might be the same.
I made a lot of use out of snap on extensions that the end is made to allow a few degrees of swivel, also u-joint extensions that are build more like a CV, stubby combo wrench in one spot, ratchet wrenches a lot.
I’d try taking the coilover off. A lot of those bolts can be accessed through holes in the shock tower. Take a look to see if that might help. The fact that you have no CVs in the way is a huge help.

This bolt is only hampered really by the urd headers. I fit an extension through the header tubes with very little success because I was just trying to get it threaded. If it was threaded all my issues would be solved

So while I have been living vicariously through @snowsk8air2 i have realized how much I fly around in the whoops.

Well this is a half way remedy as I’m not caged so I can’t implement the full 5 point harness, but for now I decided to use the lap belt portion of the harness to keep my ass in the seat. I got to say for what it is it should work nicely until I decide to tune up the rig.

These are the 3 inch bolt in 5 point harness by prp if anyone is interested. Reason why the shoulder straps arnt in is the fact that I can’t strap them to any sort of foundation but also without a cage it’s a death trap to restrict myself vertically should a roll over occur.

So I’m finally getting a real alignment on the front and it turns out my rear end is slightly bent on the rear right side by a quarter inch. Not enough to wear a tire, but it’s there. I’m sure the whoops have been doing their toll or some other dumb shit out west, but might need to entertain some rear axle options...thinking maybe throwing in a tundra axle, but not sure if that would throw off all sorts of sensors vs just getting some crazy trussed rear?

Tundra should retain speed sensors and keep everything happy. Just will need to have the driveshaft shortened but you’ll have to do that no matter what axle you choose. Plus it should be about 2” wider per side so you can ditch wheel spacers.

Currie has a Tacoma specific 9” one available that will also retain speed sensors and what not as you swap all that stuff onto it. They also can do custom length to make it wider.

ECGS has a Tacoma specific Dana 60 out as well. Also retains everything and I believe can be ordered wider.

By the time you build the Currie or ECGS with a locker and what not I think you end up close to $5k

Tundra would be cheaper but I don’t know if they have 4.56 gearing so it may force you to go to 4.88 and the only locker option is an arb air locker I think.
