You can look at MD specific laws, but in the Utah law I posted earlier in this thread to shame the OP, it states that camper shells are only required to have one if it was manufactured with one. (which I assume covers soft tops and the mount-able third brake light that comes with Softoppers/Supertops)

If the cop was eating his dinner on break, I'm positive you'd berate him as being lazy and not doing his job.

Since he was obviously motivated, a hard charger, and alert enough to notice your modified brake light, you berate him for doing his job.

When people flip that bullshit line "Don't you have anything better to do?" at me, I tell them I do, but I'm not doing it right now.

Pay the ticket, or buy a new lens and appeal the ticket you got. Maybe you'll get lucky and the judge will dismiss it.

Unless your driving record sucks as badly as your attitude.

What the hell does the president have to do with any of this? Did your gun help you with the stop ? No damn wonder the cop stopped you I would have stopped you on general purposes just looking at the truck knowing full well you were carrying an attitude. 3 tours in Nam in the 60's 15 years with the PD yeah I have seen a lot.

You have the attitude, my friend. It's obvious. My post was stating a fact and if anyone had a line on an inexpensive alternative which some of the classier folks offered me. To them I thank them, to you, Don't bother writing.

THREAD JACK WARNING (as if that's not already happened):

To your point I say, sure thing. I have no problem not calling the police. In fact, I can't remember ever calling the police even when a crazy fuck showed up with a gun at my parents house at 2am one time when I was visiting them...

I've already commented on this but, I'm really surprised that so many people think they are incapable of helping themselves. No slam on those with this mind set (or at least not much) and no slam on cops but, calling the police would not be one of the first few things I would do (or even consider) in order to protect myself or loved ones if faced with an immediate threat.

It's seems such an odd concept to me that people so willingly give up the responsibility of taking care of themselves. I for one, am not willing to submit to having to call the police or anyone for help or as a first resort. Have times changed peoples mentality? Am I just that out of touch?
