same here. i have had the cop that is kinda a dick, but cops need to be a somewhat dick sometimes.

Gee, why didn't you show the other videos of St. George police Sgt. James Kuehnlein running into a burning residence to search for victims or recovering after being shot while stopping a robbery? Those can be found on the internet as well, but clearly don't so nicely fit the prejudices of many (this video is far, far, more widely distributed).

 

Go up to Santa Clara, 80K starting salary with a 4 year college degree, cop I talked to was making $160K by his 8th year

Starting salary here is about 48K a year. Oh well. It's cheaper here, and I'd be happy with that.

Question for the LEOs, when your dealing with a cop like this who is clearly threatening you and threatening to accuse you of something you didnt do, while using the whole "im a cop and your not" thing as leverage, wtf should I (non general term) as a civilian do? Cant run away, cant fight back, what are you just supposed to let it all happen and hope the courts set shit straight?


I've had many encounters with the Police, and only one of them was negative. This cop had a reputation for being a dick and if I recall correctly he ended up getting fired for some sort of crazy family shit. Most are guys just doing their jobs. Sure there are some asshole cops, but I dare you to find me a line of work were there isn't atleast one asshole...

 

Turn off the Damn radar detector if you are planning on recording this.

My question is what was the kid doing there? Do we know this isn't fabricated by some kid pissed at the law? Where is the article about the cop getting fired over this? Too inconclusive to judge anything.

 

This video sounds fake...but I have done no research to back up that claim.

Keep your mouth shut. Actually don't be a dick when you roll your window down and this prob never happens. That cop was not right in what he did, but he might have had probable cause to stop people in that lot (drug activity/etc). Just roll your window down and be respectful.

This is another reason why I record every single time I get pulled over. I just turn on the video recorder on my phone, put it on the dash and just let it run. Never had issues thankfully.
