Works for me... become a criminal, lose all your rights. The criminals obviously don't care about their victims' rights, so why should we care about theirs.

Yeah, yeah, I know.... we're supposed to be civilized people.

Were still "civilized", but these A holes need a measage sent to them.. Im sick and tired of hearing how this "poor guy whos parents didnt love him enough, so he turned to crime, and didnt mean to hurt anybody, sniff sniff bla bla bla..." Gets all these lawyers, appeals, medical, food, shelter, whatever....while the VICTIMS are thrown aside and not given any thoughts. FUCK THAT!

I wouldn't have kicked the guy either...bad choice and unfortunately he may lose his stripes (looked like he was a Sgt.), let alone his job. The high fives weren't in good taste either. I can understand the adrenaline rush and have some "upstanding Pillar of the community" run from you, but exercise some self control. It's hard, but we as Peace officers need to adhere to it.

I personally think that kick is no big deal. That SOB could have killed many people driving on the wrong side of the road at those speeds. That little tap to his bitch face is nothing.

My fiance's dad is a fire fighter and has seen many fatal crashes due to jackass's like this one. He should loose all rights the moment he caused so much potential life threatening damage and should go straight to jail with not a single thought about that kick.

Case closed put him behind bars.

Real quick before I get neg rep points for posting drunk again untill you chase down a perp after doing 100mph don't sit back and talk about perp rights. If that guy killed a family member of yours you would be suein the police dept. for not stopping him faster. Its easy to talk about it now, but chase someone and worry about crashing and not making it home to see your family. No more cuz you don't wanna play anymore FUCK him.

All that said and done those cali guys gotta know that heli is around so stop fuckin up people.

I can understand if one of my family members were killed or injured by this chud, I'd feel like taking it out on his ass too, but I couldn't get away with what the cop did according to Arizona P.O.S.T. standards and my own agency's policies & procedures. I'd be outta work for sure..

How many lives did that mother f’er put on the line by driving on the wrong side of the road? The cop should have shot him on the spot.

There's a few posts on here that say "what if".
He didn't kill anyone and he didn't kill anyone during the chase either. The cop was completely out of line by kicking a guy who surrendered and was not resisting.
Now is the perp a douchbag and deserve to be in jail for all of this? Absolutely...without a doubt. But to kick a man, under these circumstances, was wrong.

We should pass a law that say you would get kicked in the face for running regardless!!!! A round house in the neck would also work for me.

no you're not getting it.. damages caused by the chase should be paid by the perp and the perp should get money for the cops f*ck up. now whether the money the perp gets for the kick is used to pay his court ordered payments for the damages he caused - well thats none of our concern... To take the money straight from the popos and give it to the victims of his reckless driving is just silly.

    Here's what started the chase.

"The pursuit began about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at an attempted traffic stop in El Monte, police said. Authorities tried to stop the motorist for a traffic violation, said California Highway Patrol Officer Jose Nunez.
Rodriguez opted to keep going, heading onto the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway, then exited in Baldwin Park, police said.
The driver had two passengers in the car, but when the vehicle came to a stop in traffic, one of them jumped out and surrendered to police. The driver, however, sped off again, and unidentified objects were thrown out of the car."

YES he could've killed innocent bystanders. YES he could've seriously injured innocent bystanders. YES he is a known gang member and was on parole.

BUT...he didn't kill anyone during this chase. The kick was uncalled for...IN MY OPINION.

    agree!
This dildo should NEVER see a penny and should not get a "get out of jail free" card. He needs to be locked up with the key accidentally lost. Send him back to prison and put him in a cell with the biggest black guy who's a sex addict.
