Dang i wish you would have been the one to pull me over. I was running late to church and was going 59 in a 55 down a hill and i got pulled over. It was my first time to ever be pulled over and i was polite and everything and he still gave me a ticket...and it was a few days before Christmas even.

That is crazy (and what gives us a bad name). I hope you went to court on it, our judge would have dismissed that.

I don't suppose you have ammo cans you want to give away... do you?

What department stopped you? Sheriffs, Constables, City cops?

I couldn't go to court. I was back for the Christmas break from college and the court date would have been after i was back at school.

Similar story for me. I've been pulled over once... for doing 76mph in a 70. I was coming back to San Antonio from Enchanted Rock (near Fredricksburg, TX) down a LONG ASS hill (IIRC, I was on US-87 before it merges with IH-10). I wasn't drunk (I don't drink), was polite, only had my fiance in the call with me, no gun, etc. Trooper pulled me over, said "License.." then went to his car for 3 mins. He came back with a ticket for 76 in a 70, handed me my license and left. :notsure:

OP - sounds like you ran into a great one! Would be nice to give him some sort of recognition that wouldn't call undue attention to him.

Ironically, its my pet peev. Thats why I felt so dumb about it. neither my girlfriend, my father or roommate use their turn signals and it frustrates the sh*t outta me. When the officer asked"do you know why I pulled you over?" I told him "Yes officer, I changed lanes without a blinker, I really have no excuse, because I cant stand drivers who do that either". He laughed and then went to run my pistol.

    PS
I hate cell phone drivers too. At least get a bluetooth headset for christ sake

That is cool, thanks. I know enough cops, I should probably hit them up.. just didn't think about it until this post. My Family uses the Ammo cans for planting GEO Caches..

I wouldn't have a problem with a cop running my weapon even if I have a CCL. I've also never gotten a ticket that I didn't deserve. I don't see the point in arguing with cops, they have their job to do and I have mine. The time to argue is in court. Plus, the cops have the guns, helicopters and radios. You will lose every time :) I've met a few that are dicks but I've met people in every profession that are assholes so I just let it slide. My wife can't help herself and argues everytime she gets pulled over and gets a ticket just about every time. I haven't had a ticket in 10 years :)

There are a few nice cops out there.

I was pulled over once by a county sheriff. I was wondering why, as I wasn't speeding. He didn't even ask for a license but just warned me to be careful as the city cops in the next town had a speed trap set up.

Most cops who pull people for no turn signal won't usualy write a ticket for it, just use it to see if the person has a warrant/illegal stuff
