Yes 31,400 but mine is a MT which tends to drop the price as well. Other reason I went over was in AZ they wanted more for a MT, around 1k more and in CA they were 3k less and freeman had great prices In online department.

 

If I can find a buyer for my 4bt parts I'll have a inferno, my wife gave me the thumbs up cause she likes the color to. Quicksand was a no go.

@Kwisak any review or update on the new headunit? Any major complaints or quirks you’d say?

 

Still working through it but so far my complaints are
1. Wireless car play means you can’t use a hot spot for internet. I don’t mean the phone but my normal hotspot won’t work since the WiFi on the unit turns off during wireless car play. You are suppose to be able to use a sim car
2.You lose the tac displays on what speed is this road/ nav / song. I knew this going in but I only really cared about what speed is the road since google maps and Apple only give it to you with navigation activated.
3. Phone buttons on steering wheel are tied the unit and not car play so clicking them takes you to the units Bluetooth not make a call end a call in carplay, same for voice, it goes to google assistant even if in car play. Songs and volume work.
4. I can not get a Verizon SIM card to read. Going to try a t mobile next or google fi.
5. Google maps doesn’t really work offline in search function so you really need a way to connect up, I’m sure there is another app but haven’t found it yet. I did download area so it shows in offline but search doesn’t.
6 not all apps work on google play like Netflix’s doesn’t but Amazon movies does.

So far that’s it, some of it is fixable but I haven’t found solutions yet. Mostly since work has gone crazy and I’m covering 2 other full time positions in addition to my own.

 

What is the model of that head unit? Maybe you posted it earlier but I may have missed it.

Dude, thanks for being so forthcoming! Lots of people who upgrade stuff tend to stick to the honeymoon phase of the novelty and will overlook issues and not say anything!

No problem, I still like the unit a lot and think there are some fixes but I have t gotten into them. Next move is try a new SIM card. Only other thing I noticed is with wireless car play and the phone on Qi charger it gets hot on long trips. I took it off when battery was up to cool down. This was only going between PHX AZ and MOSB UT. My hope is 1 new sim, 2 I’ve been talking to joying to try and get them to officially support the Tacoma so maybe some of that tac info back. 3 messing with controls between car play and unit since you can un program some of the unit steering wheel controls and program car play steering wheel but I need time and work is crazy

 

#6 you can fix.. I'm assuming that when you tried to install Netflix on this device it said that Netflix was not supported on this device. A work around that I used on an older android head unit was to download the apk for Netflix. I then manually installed the apk. It worked great and I now have Netflix on my android head unit and it works flawlessly.

I am really interested to see if you can get the buttons programmed on the steering wheel to your liking and the sim cards for the head unit. Please update when you find more time. Thanks again for your time in helping us all decide whether or not to pickup this unit.

Ive been trying to figure out how to get my phones hotspot to automatically turn on when it senses the head unit's bluetooth connection. I have tried a few apps that others have said will work, but have not been able to get it to work. If I can get that function to work I can easily hook up everything to the phones hotspot. It works if I manually start the hotspot. I just want it automated.

Work is finally not kicking my ass so much I had time to do a winjet swap.

 

Well the tails are holding up even though I heard a lot of stories on moisture build up, but my Cali raised pods didn’t survive all the rain so they are gone and rigids in their place now.




New headlights came in and I am hoping to get them on maybe next week and possibly this week get the bed stiffeners/ radio/ antenna put in but fishing might push everything back another week.

 

Total chaos bed stiffners are on, bed rack is in and bumper going to powder coat

Balanced out and radio is in. Need to run some new wires to the back for back up lights it the rain won’t let up!
