Weather honestly isn't looking too promising so it will likely get pushed back. The rain worries me with the cove due to the water levels obviously, but I don't mind wheeling in the rain. I'm assuming your in the buggy, which wouldn't be fun to drive in the rain, correct?

I wouldn't even mind driving towards yall to check out some wheeling spots, I've gotta make a trip to HV soon anyways.

Yes the Cove can flood quickly to several feet. I don't have a buggy, I was planning on driving the Tacoma since everyone would be driving Tacoma's. I would be willing to ride just about anywhere you all want to go.

Wheeling in the Country, Wooly's Offroad, Hale Mountain, Morris Mountain, Hawk Pride, Choccolocco, Stoney Lonesome, Big Fork, Aetna Mountain, Prentice Cooper or AOP.

Have you ever been to 5313 Offroad Park?

Gotcha gotcha, wasn't sure if you were opposed to generally wheeling in the rain or not.

Honestly I'm seriously up for anything. Just want to get some technical wheeling in and camping with good folks this weekend.

I have not been to 5313!

The weather doesn't matter to me, I have wheeled and camped in all kinds. Just tag me when you all decide when and where and I will be there.

Will do. As of now, 'you all' consists of you and I, but still waiting to here from @pdaddy and @ovrlndkull as they both expressed interest in getting out regardless of destination.

To confirm, Windrock is out for you correct?

Yes Windrock is too far, (4 hours) to ride, pay for gas, plus $60 for camping and trail access knowing there is a good chance it could get rained out. If the weather was going to be better I would.

They wont close the trails but I can't ride that far knowing it could get really bad.

This is true, but depending on the trail imo. There are tons of mild trails that would still be easily passable with rain. BUT accidentally venture into a more difficult trail, than you are certainly correct on that one...

I am referring to the weather, I will try any trail there but rain can make even the mild trails impossible. The possibility of pouring rain all day, I don't really want to winch in the mud and rain all day. If you want to ride at Hawk Pride, Choccolocco or Stoney Lonesome i will ride all weekend.

The weather is looking worse, I think I’m going to stay local this time. Rain and 2wd don’t mix well lol hopefully we can reschedule

Well @JBTacoma looks like its just you and I for the time being! What do you say we head towards chatt and hit a combination of Aetna, Big fork, take a look at coppinger and prentice, and maybe 5313 OR park. Thoughts?

Been watching the weather, doesn't look like any where in Tennessee, North Alabama or North Georgia will be good

Damn I'm just seeing the tags I was never alerted too and the convos. I think we are out gonna head east and go to the beach since there's no hurricanes there . It's just entirely too far for us to ride and just be rainy muddy and potentially not a good time. If it were just me I'd be fine but since the kiddo is coming I've gotta make sure I don't completely ruin her idea of camping fun just yet

Just got this message from a guy I ride with that lives in Tennessee.

"Are you still planning on going to Coppinger cove? If so, then that may not be the best idea, it looks like they are going to get 1.5" today and tonight. Just a heads up."
