My issue is I bought a solid axle swap tacoma somebody who owned it before me wired a relay into the ignition switch and replaced the cor relay with a regular relay. I replaced the relay with the correct cor green relay I start my truck it starts and runs for a sec and dies out If I start it and hold the key it'll stay running. But as soon as I let go of the key it dies out.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Since your truck is not wired for the normal fuel pump circuit why not use what worked .

I venture your going to need to return to all original fuel pump circuit with no idea just what was done

one circuit and wire at a time.

Is it for sure a 97 Engine and Harness ??

Down load what you need from All Data or TIS

    Good luck

it is not uncommon to bypass the COR and use a typical relay. If that’s what happened then I doubt he wired it to match the OEM plug locations.
the oem COR requires voltage on STA pin when it is cranking. That lets it know to turn the fuel pump on. Then the ecu supplies ground(or pos, can’t remember for sure) to the FC pin on the COR while the engine is running.

    so you need:
    STA - from ignition switch
    +B - from battery
Ground (not all years have a dedicated ground)
    Fc - from ecu
    Fp - to pump

Yea I'm probably going back to the way it was but I was trying to find out why I got cel p1600 and thought that was my problem so I hooked the cor relay up and thought this might be the reason it wasn't running thank y'all

The signals into ecm allow the second set of contacts to close after the engine is running

Then no way to know if all those safties were bypassed in your case .

Keeping the pump energized at all times

Wires and coils play into damp weather starting.

Is your coolant temp sensor working ?

    Best of luck
