    There is NOTHING off of Otay Lakes Rd. I was there recently after the last rain and let me be the first to say that the roads have been smoothed out and 99% of all the other trails off the road have been fenced off. It was a big disappointment. It's a nice shortcut and thats it. As far as camping, yes there is a campsite but it's nothing like Ocotillo Wells where you can pick a spot and set up tent. Besides, in Otay you're bound to get company in the middle of the night. :D Don't go alone!
