After living with these seats for close to 6 years I would not recommend them unless you have very narrow hips. The spot in the seat that supports most of your weight is only 11.5" wide between the bolsters. The foam in the bolsters is firm and doesn't soften with time.
As the seat wears, you'll sink deeper in the seat and the discomfort gets worse.
I understand a wide model is made but may not fit the 1st gen Tacoma. The standard width seats I have barely fit between the door and center console.
The seat back is very comfortable with good lumber support, but the narrow seat ruins long drive comfort.

Thank you for your reply. Do you have any other suggestions on seats to research. I’m looking at offer up too and maybe make my own bracket if I find a nice set of seats

I had an 89 Toyota PU that had a bench seat were the seat was close to touching the floorboard with weight on them. It was like sitting in a barrel.
I found a set of Honda Civic seats that were easy to adapt. They were very comfortable.

My advice is OEM seats or high end aftermarket. I cannot suggest a specific because I'm still looking myself.
