Core / Hurst short throw shifter

I know this thread is super old but @Athlaos , is there any advice you can give regarding mating up a URD shifter with a hurst/core?
I’ve had a hurst/core on my truck for years, but lately I’m on a kick to make some improvements, and pairing my shifter up with a URD shifter sounds like a good idea. I’m wondering does this raise it up an inch or so, and should I try to find a shorter hurst stick for it? Thanks for your help

 

I’ve had both & now have Hurst what advantage would you have by spacing up the Hurst? How short of a throw would you want?
