It could have been water in the fuel. I have had it happen before and after the computer completes a drive cycle the code goes away.

Still in disbelief you got rid of your Taco for a WRX. Not that I have anything against the car, just a little shocked I guess. Man I'm falling behind the times! lol That car would be a blast to drive coming from a truck.

It's a nice car. I love mine so much. My only complaint is it feels a little cheap.. Interior is mainly plastic but that doesnt really bother me much. The car is a blast to drive and I get pretty good mileage even playing around on country back roads

I've always kinda had a thing for the newer wrx hatches :anonymous: the older ones, not so much..sedans all day 07 and down. The newer sedans are growing on me a bit more, i never liked them too much until i started getting serious about looking for a new ride.

Good to know, i would kinda expect that from a newer vehicle but stuff like that doesn't bother me all too much. As long as it runs right, drives, and starts every morning i'll be happy lol. In terms of reliability what do you think? Even though you haven't had it for that long.

From what I heard the car is super reliable. I had one small hiccup but it turned out to be nothing and havent had a problem since then. Like I said I love the car and am happy with my decision to get it over keeping the truck.

Yeah i know Subaru's are pretty legendary for their reliability so i can't imagine the WRX being too much different. Only thing i have read about was people having tranny issues but i think that's fully driver error. You can't romp on an AWD turbo'd car 24/7 and not expect problems lol. Thanks for the input!

Lol yeah. only thing is there is no engine mod that doesnt require a tune. But I've heard of guys pushing 500+ on the stock block and the car running just fine

Oooh good to know as well. I don't plan on getting to crazy with anything, maybe just exhaust to let that flat 4 grumble a little bit. But i'm sure that will change once the boost bug bites :D

Be careful with the blind assumptions that they have legendary reliability... Many 08+ WRX and STIs had problems with ringlands which were attributed to their tune and running lean.

I have a 2004 STI with nearly 135,000 miles and it's been great. My biggest complaint is that it just feels absolutely fucking brutal. I'd just be careful assuming newer ones don't have any problems. They won't last forever and I'd be surprised to see many EJ motors get past 150,000 without a turbo rebuild and head gaskets. I burn over a quart of oil every 1,000 miles and I've been told it's "normal" for an EJ by several dealers and techs
