    Hi all,

Just wanted to tap into the collective brain trust to see if anyone here can confirm some of my line of thinking:

I am looking to swap my standard 2022 3rd gen taco steering wheel with a 2021 corolla one.

I checked the part number for the clock spring, and it appears that the clock spring on the taco is the same as on the Corolla. I also believe that the splines are the same.

I realize I would need to get a new airbag, but from what I was able to see online it appears that the connectors are the same.

    Example of corolla steering wheel:

I have seen folks with a 2nd gen taco installing a corolla wheel. However, I haven't seen a 3rd gen yet.

Any idea if it will fit? Am I missing anything as far as my validation of splines, clock spring and airbag connectors is concerned?

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Oh look, another mod....
The steering wheel may fit and work, but I don't think the computer components from your original steering wheel will not work properly on the new steering wheel. The volume buttons are different. Other members have tried to rotate the circuit board and re-wire it, but were not successful.

So the pin-output is different for the circuits for the infotainment buttons, cruise control, etc? Darn. I was hoping that the CAN bus signals and connects might be all the same and it would straight plug in. Would have been too good to be true I suppose.
