Hey Corpus folks, i got some questions on nerf bars. Im diggin the way the Nfabs look, but was just curious if anyone has any advice on what to get and not to get. Was also thinkin that since we all know rust is a problem down here, was thinking of getting them sprayed with bed liner. Ive heard line-x is the best. Anyone have experience with these or any other bars, and any signs of rust?

BluTaco has arrived! Fresh from the great white of ne Iowa and what did we find but a sign spanning the highway warning of winter driving conditions. Dense fog! Now the temp is dropping like a rock. Honest, I didn't bring it with me!

Thanks for the welcome, this is our second winter get away here. Better here than there! Daughter called, furnace out, what to do? -18F. Warm and toasty in the camper here. Have to do a little more exploring via bluTaco biking and beach loafing might wait a day.

Hey CC, Thank You! we had a great two weeks at Mustang Island. After the less than warm welcome ("Winter Driving Conditions" on Park Road 2 sign spanning the east bound lanes) the weather got better. In fact a lot better than the weather back home.

Our welcome home was a wintery one also. The last sixty miles from 10:15 to 11:30 Wednesday night were driven in 35-40 mph sustained crosswinds and blowing snow creating white outs in spots where you couldn't see 20 feet in front of the Tacoma. Glad we were pulling a HiLo camper with its lower profile. Oh and the temps? Glad you asked! 12 when we got home, 10 below this AM.

We'll most likely be back again next year.

This thread is always dead. Since you asked I thought I would share that last week before this last cold spell I had a few days off and did a little fishing on the island. Last Saturday morning I passed a red 4dr second gen on the beach with a kayak and a nice bed rack setup for surf fishing. I was just wondering if that guy was on here.

It has kinda been slow the past few weeks because the water is still pretty cold. The black drum are running over by Clem's bait shop and we hooked a couple of flounder in the packery channel, I also caught a nice redfish. The action should pick up as the water warms up a little and Saturday was just the first day of the year that all the bait stands had live shrimp.
