First time out at Corral Canyon OHV park over the weekend. Pretty nice ride, 18 mile loop if you stick to the main roads/trails. You can go up Los Pinos Mtn to the Ranger/fire lookout station and if he's there he'll give you a tour.
I ran everywhere I could except Espinosa Trail. Still 100% stock and 2WD so no way was I about to attempt that. I spent 3.5 hours out there and definitely want to go back!

The forest service maintains that lookout station? How did you get up there?

It's one of the trails/roads in the OHV park - Los Pinos Road. It takes you up to the top of the mountain. At the very top there's a gate, which if it's open, allows you to go all the way up to the Ranger station. They usually keep it open if they're up there, and they'll almost always let you go up into the tower and give you a quick tour. I think they're closing soon for the season though, I want to say the first week of November. Even if the gate is closed you still end up pretty much at the top with some great views. I suppose you could always park and walk the remaining 200ft or so up to the tower.
Side note, do not attempt this road if you have a problem with heights. The road is barely wider than 6" on either side of my truck in some spots, and when you come around the curves on the switchbacks all 4500 feet of elevation drops off to one side in some areas.

That's rad! I'd never be able to attempt those trails unless I put some serious mods on my truck. It's just as fun to watch though!

What's also fun is Espinosa in the rain slogging thru the muddy trails . Espinosa is not really that difficult of a trail , I've seen stock vehicles easily navigate this trail

Sidewinder is not that hard if you've got a competent spotter that can guide you down the Gatekeeper

Maybe after I get AT tires put on I could attempt Espinosa, but the main issue is that my truck is only a 2WD. Small truck, big dreams

Nice report. Never been up there but I’m going to have to give it a try. Looks like I’m not that far away.

I have been up there meany time on motorcycles. There are 2 cool little campgrounds that you can camp at if you have an adventure pass.
