So Doug i heard about the hard time out there. The jeep's that tried to rescue Tony got stuck and Tony's truck is still there. That SUCKS big time. i am glad i did not go now, was thinking about it last nite.

 

Damn from the pics it looked like you guys were in some serious I'm glad I wasn't able to make it...I have to wait to get sliders first i guess....

 

For what its worth, Im off to bed. It was a late night and I'm tired. Besides if I get the rest I need, the more trucks I can push out of the mud tomorrow. I'll check threads and PMs tomorrow. Should there be something in San Diego, there's a good chance Id be down. Laters!

LOL, well my brother if you are feeling adventurous & want to take on some of the nastiest, slickest , most unforgiving slop I've ever encountered in my 51 years you know where to go & trust me, you aren't going to be pushing or pulling anyone out of this shit, it will take all you've got (locked or not !) just to get yourself from point "A" to point "B"....

Doug...God Damn bro.. that damn trail got both of us.... Gave us a kiss and kicked us back down the hill.. I should have had my sliders put on last tuesday vice this upcoming tuesday. Im putting a sign up at the top and bottom of that MuthaFU*(r when we go back.

Ran into 2 guys that i knew up at 4 corners in jeeps.. 1 of them had a winch. and said he could do it. He ended up going down the hill, and we ended up changing a tire midway on that sloppy as section... Yeah bro,, that trail had some damn attitude.

We need to think up a name for that part of the trail and put it on a sign at the top and bottom..

Gawd damn.....

Doug that was some crazy shit today... after i dropped tony off, i went to the car wash and sprayed the bottom..... yeah we took some stuff with us. the access road on the way out was wicked as hell coming down from Los Pinos.....it was sloppy as hell....we rode out in 4LO...1st gear the whole way up to the pavement.....

I say if somebody wants to try it again... we bring a chair and sit at the bottom....

 

I wish I had 4x4, I really would try it. I have sliders. Wait, I need skids too.

Yeah, yeah, I know I should've & will get some sliders , that little stretch of hell is no cake walk even when its dry & sunny. (we've gone up it before) But ... what the hell, sometimes ya gotta push yourself & your machine a little further than usual, life's a test anyway LOL. Mother Nature must be on her period because she was a REEAALLL BITCH today... It was still a blast though.....

Hey PeeJay just wanted to say thanks for a great trail ride and to everybody else who had to help me get pulled out of a couple situations, Tony, doug thanks for your help. sorry i had to leave, but had to get home and get some rest for work this early morning. wish i could have styed to help, but not much i could have done in my 2wheeldrive. Tony, that so sucks that you had to leave your truck there. All in all though it was a pretty crazy mudding day.

 

Not a problem Matt , yer welcome & I gotta say that we all were pretty impressed with your stock Toy today ( & I mean stock, no 4x, no locker etc You proved my theory , that if you have enough speed & momentum that you don't need 4x, or a locker ya just have to hit it about 60MPH & say "fuck it" to anything in your way LOL... had a good time anyway despite a couple stuck rigs & a big ass rock re-configuring my body style...... we'll do it again soon dude, take care bro'....

 

If you want to attempt that trail at all in this condition...this is what you will need minimum.

Winch
Sliders
4x4
Front and Rear Lockers
The best Mud Terrains you can afford

That is just for the rig

and for yourself, bring food,beer and a PSP so when you get stuck, you will have something to do.

The Jeep had Mud Terrains and a Winch and it still got stuck.

 

If anyone is on the fence about slider...get them. If our trucks has slider the sides would not have been damaged or damaged as much.
