Sorry Rick, I'm thinking of next weekend possibly heading out. Does anyone have some ideas on other places in the San Diego area we can go 'roading? :mudding:

I'd be up to help, I'm stock, but if it does dry up a little I'm off on Monday if you need help. I'm up in the RB area.

So what's the scoop. I'm at home in Chula Vista and want to go mudding tomorrow. I want to go locally and not travel to LA or OC. After reading a few threads, it appears there is one? Can someone fill me in? Pine Valley? Anything? Maybe even PM me if you want. Thanks guys.

We can meet up either @ the Ranger station or Santa Ysabel @ the Julian Pie Factory bright and early similar to what we did at the beginning of November and just cruise around. By then I should have my 5100's installed! :bananadance:

I'd consider it, but its not a rough trail. It's hard compacted dirt. The exit (or entrace) we came out of near Airway in Otay Mesa was closed off by large rocks. The only entrance I know of is off Otay Lakes road near that motor home lot/camp ground before hitting the 94. I'd be down to head East and see where it leads versus going west. There are some good fields in Otay Mesa where one could wheel around in mud. However, they are large. If someone were to get stuck, I could almost guarantee that the other person would sink as well. :D

Proctor Valley is a good example of the type of road you'd see if you were on Otay Truck Trail. There's got to be plenty of spots near the 905. I just don't know of any off hand. Near the prison. Near the kids correctional facility. Near the Otay border :infantry: (border patrol) Near the border but off Dairy Mart road should even have some, but they're all assumptions.

LOL , fuck me runnin' , WHAT A DAY at Corral Canyon, it was all good til we thought we were bigger than the elements & the last run of the day wasn't a OHV trail at all !! It was a fucked up (& getting more fucked up by the minute) access road for servicing the power poles up to the Los Pinos fire look out tower , I mean this "Goat trail" isn't even marked on any detailed map of the area. Its pretty damned challenging on a dry sunny day, but mix in some rain with some bad-ass clay & a generous amount of Slick 50 & you have a situation that is just chomping at the bit to eat your truck & it took a big ass bite out of my TRD (maybe about $ 1500.00-$ 2000.00 body damage ) a little less for PeeJay's damage. And poor fucking Tony had to abandon his truck for a couple days I imagine til shit stops raining & dries out some, I truly feel for you dude but I'm willing to bet that its safe just from where its at. ( on the side of a fucking mountain). But all in all , personally I had fun , damage & hassle aside.

And a special note to those who read this & think we're blowing smoke: IF YOU ARE GOING OUT TO CORRAL CANYON & ALL AREAS SURROUNDING, STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THIS ONE !!!!!:eek::eek: But if anyone out there thinks they could handle what we could not, please let me know , so I can be there to watch you fail. I ain't trying to be a dick about it , but this was some serious shit, kinda like the Bronco peak connector without most the boulders but probably way more slippery.....:cool::eek::cool::crapstorm::help::rant::facepalm::burnrubber:

P.S. Just ask the guys in the jeeps that went up the hill to rescue a Toyota... by the way also got stuck....
