Does anyone know how this vsv is supposed to act? I have a P0441 evap code and vacuum checked my evap vsv and charcoal canister. Canister tested bad as it would not hold vacuum when all ports plugged (I actually found the Crack in it). I have 2 evap VSV's and ran 12v to each of them with a vacuum hooked to them. One of them opens and expels the vacuum immediately, while the other opens and releases the vacuum at about 1psi every 2 seconds. The VSV for the EGR valve releases immediately, so I'm leaning towards the immediate release being the desired action.

There either open or closed with power. Not doing both. Sounds like its bad.

    Pretty much stock right now
    Agreed. Either open or closed.

I just went through checking all mine after similar codes. My canister is fairly new, but one of the two VSVs under the hood (VSV for evap if I remember correctly) was stuck. New Denso VSV and gas cap and the codes are gone. The FSM has the testing procedures for the VSVs.

Had P0441 about a month ago. Found a Dorman part on Amazon that was the exact same. Switched em out . No CEL light since.

I wonder what kinds of emission problems will crop up on these newer vehicles with no gas cap in 10 years?
