correct valuation? 2015 stock trd..

I generally trade my vehicles in when buying a new vehicle. In my State the sales tax paid is the new truck price - trade in. Sales taxes runs between 8.5 to 9%. I figure it is not worth my time and effort for the few dollars more I could get on a private sale. I good chunk of that is eaten up in sales tax. But if the OP wants to try and sale the truck on his own, more power to him. It is his choice.

 

Yeah, California doesn't do the funky sales tax thing, that I've ever seen. Kinda sucks. But to be expected, in an area like this. Anyway, I think this circus has more than outlived it's usefulness.

In other news, I wonder if double R girl is hot. I wonder if she can beat me on the track. I'm fast but I always ride at 90 percent cuz I haven't revalved my suspension yet.

I think it depends on the situation you're in. If you're in no hurry to sell, throw it up on CL, Autotrader, etc for as long as it needs before it sells. Mark your price X% above what you really think it will sell for because private buyers will always lowball you... that's a given. If you're in a hurry to sell then I would imagine you'll take a hit. I'm in San Diego as well and agree with the you that prices do seem slightly higher here than a lot of other places around the country. IMO, I'd guess you can get $27-28k for it.
