Has anyone had the corrosion-resistant treatment (for frame rust) done on their truck by Toyota? Does this chemical work? Is this a solution or just a stall tactic? If anyone has experience with this, please respond.

Thanks for the info. How effective are these rust-proofing chemical?

The frame on my truck was so badly covered with surface rust that the dealer cleaned the frame off and applied a chemical rust inhibitor to it. I'm just wondering if it's going to work or do I still have to worry about my frame.

    I'm in Ontario.

This is actually the second time the dealer has tried to fix the rust problem. After the first attempt at rust-proofing, I was told that rust would not be an issue ever again. Well 2 weeks later the rust came back. It was thriving. So the dealer just applied a new chemical treatment. I'm just not convinced that it's going to work.

I bought my truck from woodbrigde toyota and payed extra for lifetime rust proofing by diamondkote, I need to take the truck in every year for an inspection and reapplication if necessary. it wears off in about a year and surface rust appears but hopefully it doesnt penetrate the metal and it has a lifetime warranty against rust perforation.
