Good morning, afternoon or evening everyone,
Can someone please help with the following,
I am planning to purchase a 3500lb dry weight travel trailer in the near future. I have a 2006 Tacoma TRD automatic 4X2 with NO tow package (I did install an aftermarket tow hitch which is bolted onto the frame).
What items does my Tacoma need to pull the trailer safely and correctly? and what am I'm looking to spend with and without labor?

Thank all of you for the information.

    *****FYI*****
I took my truck in for service a week ago and dealer advised me my leaf springs had been recalled. The new leaf springs had not yet arrived so they were going to call me back. Apparently, the current leaf springs have the potential of puncturing the gas tank.

The travel trailer will have to wait. Looks like I need to install some items to avoid costly repairs. The tent not so bad anyways

don't wait for the recall springs. Nobody knows when they'll arrive, and they'll suck just as much as the stock springs. Get a real leaf pack, and start to actually realize the potential of your truck (and kiss your money goodbye now that you're on TW) Welcome to the family!

If your truck is a TRD, it should already have the stock tow package on it. Is it a sport or an off-road?
