Unfortunately gas is over a dollar higher this year then last. Our leaders here are trying to make gas more expensive to by raising tax's. They are trying to push us toward going all ev with the incentives and all. We've already have a prius since 2012. I could see them selling a few taco hybrids if they perform as well as our prius has been.

Gas taxes are for road and bridge repairs in that state. Also mass transit infrastructure.

I wonder if thats currently, i know at one time we were, we became energy independent. Now gasoline, natural gas, and heating oil keep going up. Have you seen food? The shelves are empty here, and whats there is more expensive then ever....chit $5 for a tiny box of raspberries?...they were no higher than $2.99 last year. Excuse my rant, but i've had just about enough.

Supply and demand is high combined with truck driver shortage is frustrating for everyone.

Trouble is those road, and bridge repairs are very slow to materialize, plus what mass transit infrastructure?...nothing has been done in years. If i had to guess much of that tax money gets allocated for other uses.

Well it's illegal to re allocate those funds unless authorised by the state legislature. It happens and in every state. But typically they are used for their purpose. The state uses the lowest bidder for repairs and they use the lowest quality materials. The latest infrastructure bill will see decades of improvements countrywide which everyone can appreciate.

It’s on a website called Fuelly. I think they have an app too, but I didn’t like it when it first came out and just never bothered looking at it again.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
    Currently perhaps. That'll change.
Crude oil WILL eventually run out, so in some decade or century folks will need an alternative. The problem with EV is that no one really evaluates the total cost, i.e. mining the rare earth metals needed for batteries and its effect on the environment, cost of recycling or rehabbing batteries, cost of battery disposal, etc.
My last fill-up was $3.289/gallon in CT (with a 15¢/gallon discount). You do the math 'cuz monthly cost is irrelevant unless you know the miles driven & gallons burned.
Off topic for sure, but inflation is gonna be a killer in 2022.

It likely will but it's been going strong for the last ten years so I don't see it ending abruptly any time soon.

I’ve been paying for gas at the price listed at the pump as I fill it. Being a commodity, and that these are not mopeds, the decision to purchase gas was at the point of purchase of the taco, not as function of market fluctuations, supply and a 100-year history of volatility. Gas here in the US is cheap.
