I'm curious roughly how much it will cost to get my HID's replaced, one light has been out for about 6 months now (I had to wait till after I fixed my wifes lights, I didn't want to hear her complain about how I take better care of my truck than her car) and I figure it's about time. haha.

This is the current headlight I have.

Nevermind. I decided to call a local shop. For future people that may read this they charge $40 if it's just a ballast or $70 for a new set of HID's with both lows and highs in the light

You can order another whole 35w setup with bulbs and ballasts from DDM for about $40 shipped..............and beyond that there are ballasts and bulbs on ebay for much less shipped than what you posted...generally $10 each for bulbs or ballasts. Maybe a bit more for 55w

You can test to see if it's just the ballast wrong with the non-working light.. just unplug the working side and swap it over. If it comes on then your ballast is bad. If it doesn't then the bulb may be blew.. or both.
But x2 on just getting a whole new kit for $40 compared to just a ballast for $40. Keep the extra as spares or just swap in the new.

And it's simple to replace the bulb/ballast so don't pay a shop..

Installing lights with ballasts is super easy. Why pay a shop to do it?

Thanks for the info. I'll search around my truck and look at it tonight to see if it's something I'll just do on my own. I didn't realize it's that easy to do on your own.
