My piston rings and cylinders are shot in my Tacoma 3.4 DOHC V6. 254K miles. How much would it cost me to find a used engine with less than 100K miles and have it installed?

I see engines on Ebay for $700. Anyone got any recommendations?

I already have a new car. But I want to keep this truck for obvious reasons. Is it worth it?

ARE cap, wade inchannel vent visors, weathertec floor mats, ranch hand grill guard, tuffy security boxes in bed, lockable tailgate handle. Still have stuff that needs to be installed and still have stuff ordered lol.
if you like the truck i say yes its worth it. you can also check the junk yards by you.
try to make sure the engine runs before you buy it. changing an engine isn't so hard.

Changing an engine is completely out of my skill set. How much do you think it would cost in labor?

Depends on where you go.If you get a junk yard motor or used motor there will be no warranty from installer.
Also they will charge you for new gaskets, thermostat, fluids, spark plugs etc. Labor you are looking at $750 and up. do you know any friends around you who could help you change the motor? where do you live? i'm sure there are people on here who live by you and would help you.
