What if I were to tell you that not one single car in NASCAR actually runs Mobil 1 oil? They all use proprietary blends made by race lubrication experts. By using smaller oil manufacturing facilities because they aren’t bound by EPA restrictions.

In fact almost all top competition race teams use specially blended formulas from their engine oil, gear box, to the differential.

I have been involved in racing motorcycles and cars since I was a wee tot. To further blow your minds, that’s water with salt tabs in those energy drink cans the champs are swigging out of.

"Not all oils are the same" is correct, said that, our truck will never use full potential of the best available oil on the market. I owned and still do quite a few cars and would not hesitate to use Warren oil in a naturally aspirated, non high performance engines like Tacoma. When it comes to high performance engines, especially Turbo or Supercharged engines I use high quality, low NOACK, European made (true synthetic) oils, in particular Ravenol 0w-40 (expensive). If that's not available I use a European made Castrol 0w-40, which surprisingly can be had on Amazon for only $20 for a 5qt jug. Motul and Liqui Moly are also on the list but all of the above oils are overkill for our Tacomas, IMO.

I'm reading it now and I'm fuming. My oil is best because it's purple.

Not than it matters; but if I was going to overpay for oil. That oil would be the stuff to do it on. IMO

For all the Warren oil fans, just go to a Dollar Tree to buy your oil. Warren supplies Dollar Tree with their branded oil.

Better yet, go to a lawn mower shop and buy Kohler branded engine oil. Warren also packages Kohler branded engine oils.

I can hear it already, Dollar Tree oil is better than Family Dollar oil

Oil threads are like political threads lol. The only bad thing I've ever had happen related to an oil brand was switching my wife's 85 Ford Tempo to TropArtic after running Motorcraft for 100,000mi.

Thing started leaking like a seive. Switched it back and it sealed back up. The guys over at BITOG have the oil quality thing on lockdown. Do some reading over there and enlighten yourself before getting on a soapbox uneducated.

Yesterday, one of my local radio stations asked its listeners to share the "safe word" that they use with their significant other. An anonymous person wrote that their safe word is "meatloaf" because they'll do anything for love, but they won't do that... Priceless.

I normally buy 6 quarts of Mobil 1 when Costco has it on sale. It has never failed me, so I see no reason to change now.

Find me a rated synthetic 0w-20 that’s API approved at any dollar store. I’ll wait.

Dollar Tree oil is API SN rated. If you hurry, you can attain the old Dollar Tree engine oil inventory that was made in Mexico. Goes perfectly with a made in Mexico Tacoma.

I bought two 5qt Super Tech motor oil from Wallyworld a few months ago, been using Mobil 1 for years. Read a bunch of articles and reviews about the Super Tech oil made by Warren. Im in. Using it for my wife's RAV4 next oil change. Rav4 has 110k miles now, if sh*t happens i'll trade her in

Will use it on my 2020 Taco as soon as my free oil change is done. If it ruins my engine, I have a freelifetime warranty from my dealerhip on powertrain as long as I keep my receipt and as long as it's got the meets the minimum requirements.

Super tech oil - Meets API SN, SM, SL and ISLAC GF-5 or GF-4 requirements where a SAE 0W-20 is specified

Looks good to me for an application that needs 10w-30. Here’s a similar/same product with results from PQIA:

    http://pqiadata.org/SMB10W30.html

also there’s no 0w-20 flavor for our trucks anyways, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use it in a vehicle that requires it. Most modern vehicles won’t anyways. Also zero proof the oil you speak of is blended by warren distribution.
