Dealers get to choose what vehicles they include in the Costco program. The Costco price might be like 1k under invoice and they can sell them for more. So they would choose not to offer them through Costco.

This is what I'm finding out too. Another dealer also said they chose to remove it from the program

When I was buying my Raptor, there weren’t any dealers offering it as part of the Costco program. Vehicles that tend to have a market premium are very unlikely to be included.

I used the Costco price to shop around and found a dealer who was able to beat by $500. Others said the would match it and several said they couldn't beat it.

It wasn't a good price.... a little better than msrp. The dealer was aggressive with calls telling me "just come in and get it done!"

We ended up contacting 25 or so different dealerships via email with what we wanted, what we didn't and what we were flexible on. We asked for them to give us their best price and pitted the best prices against each other.

We got a great deal and only spent 20 minutes buying the truck at the dealer. Part of that was washing the truck. We did have our money situated with our CU before hand and they made it easy.

That Costco called me later trying to sell me a truck. When I told them I bought one they asked about price. I told them and they, in an unfriendly manner, called me a liar and hung up.... I smiled at that.

Oh, I think I should point out that I don't blame Costco for my experience. They try to set up a deal, but they aren't the dealer. The dealer doesn't even have to honor the pricing.

The Costco dealer in my area was in a different city about 30 minutes away. I think they were just using the program as advertising to get buyers to come in from the bigger city with more buyers.

I bought a car once that 3 dealers had the exact same color and equipment. One dealer said " good luck, they'll never sell you it for that price." When I went back the salesman said "Ready to buy." Nope, I came to show you my new car.

My experience was interesting - I think I cold have done well deal wise, but Costco wanted me to go with a dealer 45 miles away, despite several closer dealers. Wasn't worth the hassle...

Yeah, that's because it's setup at the dealer level not with the mfg, so not all dealers participate.
