I live with my girlfriend. At age 25 this point is moot. Second, that didn't stop me even when I was living at home. One time I had to pretend to be taking a 'nap' cause pops came down stairs to get something.

Let's just say the man isn't stupid, and I was a fool for attempting to prove otherwise.

    Nevertheless, nothing was 'interrupted' parse.

I keep telling you folks, I have that affect on threads.

I could do it, I'm sure, but I have a shell and it's ready to sleep in, side vents, light, etc.

I can lay down and fully extend. I think the bed is over 6 ft.

Thank you very much for the picture.

Looks like if I throw a thick blanket over the seat and then lay down, I could manage.. Not exactly like staying in the penthouse at the Hilton, but cheap for a cross country trip. :)

It's all about saving some bucks... :D

I've slept in my 03 XCab a couple of times. One time it was hot outside and I had no padding or pillow. Wasn't a very good sleep. Another time it was cold as shit and I was inside two sleeping bags and had my pillow. I slept like a baby.

I think that if you take off the headrest, you may be able to get the seat to recline a little bit more. The flatter the better.

The only reason I didn't sleep in the bed either of those times is because I don't have any shell.

Whoa!! I think you'd have to be fairly short in order to not need the head rest for your head

the end of the seat sans headrest at full recline is like 1" away from the backrest for the rear "seats" so it isn't really needed.

I think. Maybe I did keep them on. IDK, whichever I did, there was like a 1" gap haha

I slept in my bed under my tonneau with a Big Agnes Primaloft sleeping pad and TNF Snowshoe 0 degree with 20F outside temperatures. I slept great except when I had to pee.

Sure you can, no problem. I spent three weeks in a Humvee (seat doesn't recline). The only time we got out was to eat, crap, or to top it off. Sleeping wasn't a problem, the problem was the sores that we got on our asses.

Personally, I'd take a tent. My father, my son, and myself drove to Alaska a few years ago. We camped the whole way up and back. You can stay in a campground every night for $10 - $15.

I am a police officer and work night shift. Almost every Tuesday morning I have municipal court at 0800 hrs. I used to have a 2003 Xtracab and couldnt sleep in it due to the metal seat belt bar jabbing me in the back.

Now I have a 2009 DC. I move the front seats all the way forward, put a large pillow and sleeping bag on the floorboard behind the front passenger seat and lay down in the back..Good sleep

Bet you only do it one night. It's amazing how humid it gets just from you breathing. Have to keep the windows cracked some. Then if it's cold out you'll have to run the heater. If it's warm bugs will probably come visit you. I'd much rather sleep in a tent with a couple of cots.

If your considering getting a AC with a Top that would seem to be the best way to go by a long shot! Heck you can roll out sleeping bags in the bed, hook up a DVD player and Pop Popcorn each night while your watching movies! And who knows, with the rear window slider open and some nice music coming through from the cab....maybe you'll get lucky!:D

i slept in my single cab daily while i was in school. i worked from 5p-5a and had class at 8 40 minutes away so i would take power naps before school. i layed out across the bench seat... not too shabby. i would have gone home first but that was another 40 minutes out the way. when i would go back to work that night for 5, i'd take a nap if i got there early enough. ...... im really glad that is all over
