I would have gotten a tundra or a f250 or something bigger if I was planning on doing cross country traveling.

not sure if anyone mentioned it but you can buy an air mattress liner for the bed, and a tent too to fit there, I may have to get one for my trip out east next summer

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
Can and have slept in my truck. I just recline the driver's seat down, that's all.

I've folded the seats down in back of my access cab and slept in there. not real comfortable. You could just cut a piece of plywood to fit over the rear slider tracks in your bed, and lay in there. It serves as a roof. Thats how I sleep durin deer season sometimes.Coldest it got back there was 7 degrees one night! but with the right sleepin bag i stayed warm. Keeps me dry and cost about 5 bucks!

yeah i've slept in the back seat of my double cab once. Went camping, thought it would be warmer that night but got really cold. so no one came prepared. i slept in the backseat and a person in each front seat, i slept ok in it. having a sleeping bag n pillow helped.

When I was homeless a while back my truck came in very handy in various sleeping arrangements! So yes I can sleep in my truck. :)

db67fm, that was my plan too if I ever lost my job.

Glad you guys got through those tough spots in life.

I went camping in Cleveland National forest this last weekend and slept in the back of my DC with the seats down. I have seat covers, a towel and a thermarest 4-season backpacking mattress for comfort.

Overall It was tight but doable. When not laying on my sides, I stretched out with my legs over the (vertical) seat bottom and into the space behind the passenger front seat--it worked. However I may remove the seat bottom in the picture closest to the camera if I plan on sleeping back there for any extended periods of time. I find that I roll most days with the back seats down anyways.

I also need to find a way to crack the windows and have some kind of no-see-um mesh to prevent mosquitoes from entering the truck cabin. Maybe I'll rig something for the back window.

I do it all the time in my AC. Have a few to many drinks and bam out in the back seat. :) Beats a DUI.

    Just the basics
I don't find it very comfortable in the AC. Mostly because my head rolls around and I get neck aches. A larger pillow would most likely solve this problem. Sleeping in the bed would be your best bet if circumstances allow.

Im 6'0" and BIG. My wife and I both slept in our 05 Double Cab a few hours here and there on our last road trip. It's ok. You can fall asleep, but Its not quite comfortable enough for me to get a nice long nap in. It will do in a pinch though.
