    1. What gear do you normally drive in for regular daily driving? I know that we have the option of changing gears using that S +/- function. Just wondering what the recommended gear is and what everyone is driving in.

    2. Is there a way to increase the tension on the tailgate?

    Later.

I use the gear that is most appropriate for the correct speed.

In my Neighborhood around 20mph I am in 2nd gear

On highway at 80mph I am in 6th gear

In the studio parking lot at work I am in 1st and 2nd

    Yes.

I also think there is some confusion on my question, and that's probably my fault.

Auto Transmission - When I move the gearshift (while in D) over to the S, I can change the gear and then return it to D for driving.

    Thanks,

In S mode, I think most people prefer to drive in 5 on normal roads (45 mph) which would cause the engine to stick closer to 1500 rpm instead of 1100 rpm which would increase responsiveness when you give it more gas. In 6 you would use less gas, so I prefer to stay there, however there is no denying the benefits of riding around in 5.

I only had a manual trans, but I don't think the S mode in this truck is you choosing a gear. I think it is more of choosing the highest gear that the trans will shift to. But someone might correct me.

Aero90, I think you are correct. It will downshift for you when you brake, but it will not shift into a higher gear than what it says on the display.

Okay, what about this one? Is there a way to make it go just a little slower?

    1) Most city driving I am in 4th in sport mode with ect on. Hell sometimes I'm in 4th on the freeway 'cause WA state has sh****y drivers so I live in the higher rpm's ha ha, but most of the time on freeway I am in 5th

    2) Not sure on this one - I don't have any issues with the rate or it slamming open on me. The cover is real easy to take off (just a bunch of hex screws) so you could take cover off to see if there is any adjustability
