As you can see in the photo the wire below the hot and cold dial has came lose. The dial works but im thinking I need to go in and see if the white looking dial that the wire attaches to is broke. Any idea on how to get back to this area. Also the interior boot looks like its gone. I have seen a couple boots on the internet but dont really see how it attaches to the bezel. Any help here would be appreciated.

    tht shifter boot..........
    easy
need to remove that plastic surround(where cup holders are)
clean that rectangle old one from bottom (i can see old crusty rubber from old boot still on there)
and new boot will snap into place
    then re-assemble!
