Well, I guess I'll give that a whirl, but I doubt it will help my charging issue, but the plate will be hidden if nothing else!

I crazy glued my Scosche metal plate next to the camera for vehicle mounting, but still allows for wireless charging

I recently purchased this phone mount and I do get a another of shaking/vibration. Anyone know of a remedy? I really like the mount and want to make it work for me but the vibration bothers me a lot more than it should

Little of this, little of that.
I don't use this mount that much anymore because my phone falls off all the time. However something that helps (when I actually do use the mount) is angle the mount so that the bottom of your phone is making contact with your dash/radio. This gets rid of the wobble and will sorta prevent your phone from sliding down the magnet.

My problem is that I put the magnet inside my case because I don't want to have a metal plate attached to the outside of my case.

@CourseMotorsports mentioned on my install/review post a year ago that they were considering doing a different option for mounting, like a clip. For whatever reason they never replied to my question for an update on that. I would try it if they ever got around to making it..

I actually bought another phone mount that attaches to the ball because I didn't want to use the magnet for that reason. It is pretty secure actually, no slipping at all.

I did try to use the dash as extra support but hasn't worked. Might try to wedge something under the mount so there is less room to move

That's a great idea! I like the simplicity of the CMS mount but the vibration is a constant issue. Plus, I have an iPhone XS Max and if I don't get it centered it drops to one side or the other. And, having to put the plate in my case keeps me from using the quick charger - I have to take my phone out of the case when I get home to put my phone on the charger.

I had a spare mount sitting in the garage - just removed the magnet from the CSM mount and put the other on. Looks like it will work well and I can now charge my phone while it is still in the case.

    Win!!

I can confirm that this works GREAT. This is definitely the way to go with the CMS mount. Very little shaking and my phone doesn’t fall off. Thank you for recommending this!
