OP, since you've had them before, and live in FL, how are they with heat? Just wondering if I'd sweat with them on in the summer.

The custom-made covers by Wet Okole (that I mentioned above) leave flaps for the extrusion of side air bags if your vehicle design warrants. That's what you get with custom covers that cost a lot more (and prompted the comment "Holy Cow" about the cost in another thread).

    To answer some questions.

I did not remove the flap on the seat, I unbolted the front seats tipped them back and used the included tool from coverking to fish the straps through.

The seats do get a bit warm, but when its 90+ degrees and 90%+ humidity you will sweat regardless of seat material. I will tint the front windows and add a UV tint to the windshield which helped a lot with my last Tacoma.

The covers have flaps for the side airbags so their deployment is unaffected.

I have looked at Wet Okole in the past, but I find their website a bit confusing as there is like a million check boxes to select and they were more money.

Not worried about it......I ride a bike without a helmet

If you listen to paramedics too much you won't leave the house. You have to remember they see all the bad each and every day. No one mentions how many planes landed safely this year.......We only hear of those that don't. I would never make a life choices based on an Emergency Room Doctor's opinion.

I had Wet Okole's in my '09 Taco and they have held up very well and inclined to go with these again on the 2016. But these give me something to think about especially if 1/2 the cost.

Does anyone have any long term experience w/ this brand and model previously? Hold up well?

Also, any idea about if the heated seats will come through on these?

    Thanks!

Heated seats should not matter. They get pretty hot. I don't think these seats will inhibit that, I ordered a set and waiting for them. I usually buy leatherette but I think these will breathe better

Not here yet. I imagine drop shipped from the factory. Showing Wednesday delivery. Tacoma all weather Mats should be here tomorrow. All that's left to do are In Channel vents, TruXport Tonneau and a bug shield

Good thing is you should not be taking your seat covers in and out of the ocean regularly

I just purchased some Wet Okoles this Saturday. They were more expensive but not by much after I used the discount from the group buy here on TW. I'm sure the quality of the two are similar but you get more color and pattern choices with the WOs.

So what's the verdict here? Are the leatherette covers better than the neoprene?

You forget that in the more southerly climates 'swamp ass' is a real thing, and is MUCH worse than the ocean in terms of funk buildup. It's a very valid concern.

Did you ever get the leatherette covers? I am interested in them as well.

No, I haven't bought any seat covers yet. I still can't decide what to buy. My father-in-law just bought some neoprene covers, so I'm waiting until they arrive any day now and see how those look and feel. Sorry, I'm not any help.

After seeing the neoprenes in the OP, I ordered some Coverking black/charcoals from autoanything. I think they look even better than leatherette, and seem to last a long time (from reviews and some googling) if you get the real neoprene, not the neosupreme (saw mixed reviews long-term). I will try and post when they get installed. Granted, I have liked the leatherettes in the past a lot, but going with neoprene for a change.
