Just like everyone else, no problems at all!

I just need to solve this rattle :annoyed:
I have a couple ways in my mind that should work. I just need to find time to do it!

What did people use to cover the hole left behind from the old air intake?

Gorilla tape I think? Maybe I stuck a PVC cap into it and gorilla taped over it. I forget, it's been a long time.

Where are you guys finding a 12” silicone pipe with 3” od? Unless you’re putting a coupler from the elbow to the pipe?

I didn't want to open up the hood and find it an inch deep with fine dirt and gravel after a trip to a local wildlife area. So yep, covered it right up.

Fantastic-looking custom parts, I hope you post the 3d print files unless you plan to fab & sell the finished parts themselves.

Honestly, in ~7+ years of reading about & watching 3D printing demos on the web, this is the first time I've ever thought, "Wow, a good 3D printer would be a nice tool to have."

What kind of 3D printer did you use?

Oh, nope. I lied. I didn't use gorilla tape. I used sound deadening mat.

How necessary is it to drill extra holes in the fender after doing this? Its already has two holes per side. Without liners it seems like it should get plenty of air. I think i read about a bunch of people drilling extra holes after doing this intake

Yes, I would recommend it. I did mine. The factory setup is designed to supply air for the HVAC intake only, not intended for the engine intake to get air from the cowl

I ended up just doing an 1 1/2” hole on the passenger side. I thought i had grabbed the 2” saw. Think I might add one on the passenger side later if I do the cabin intake divider. It was getting dark and didn’t want to risk hitting the windshield wiper wires. Thanks

I didn't bother with the divider. Haven't had any issues with the HVAC starving for air and the added noise is minimal, actually like how it sounds

I slid the silicone hose on the aluminum tube to check fitment. It went on easily enough but holy shit I couldn’t get it to budge once it was flush. Ended up having to cut the hose and tube together on the miter saw. Anyone know any tricks to removing when you cant get the same leverage or force applied when the tube and silicone even out?
