Coworker thinks she found her stolen tailgate on Craigslist

I had my Ring doorbell stolen 2 weeks ago. Looked like a transient in a dark Hoodia with a pink backpack. I called LASD to file a report because Ring requires it for a free replacement. I didn't think anything would ever happen. Who knew that 5 minutes after they left they would arrest the guy. Didn't find the doorbell though.

 

Damn, that's shady as fuck.

 

Yeah, i gave up already. She didn't seem to care enough to call the popo or anything, so she's on her own.

The people that stole the tailgate are most likely lowlife scumbags, and they know where this truck is parked.

Probably recommend the tailgate security lock to her and maybe it’s time for front and rear motion activated cameras.

Why didn't she get a 4Runner? Their tailgates are difficult to steal.

Devils advocate: Lots of commercial companies sell their white tailgates, see Ortho for example.

I mean it's probably not the case, but it could be.

 

A commercial company selling lots of tailgates is not the same as a single tailgate being sold on craigslist by a private individual.

How am I supposed to care about the hot, crazy, coworker if there's not one single picture of her so I can assess the merits of her claims and how far one should go to help her?
