Not currently, no one's reached out regarding interest in offering it out there.

You'd need to bring the tune to someone out there who is willing to flash it.

With the recent change to the OVTune licensing terms, am I still able to flash these third party tunes to my own truck? I have a non-pro licence for VFTuner, the tune pack for my 04A71 truck, and a Tactrix cable.

As long as your vin is registered, or you have credits available to register it if it isn't already, you can still flash tunes to your truck

i guess congrats are in order. good work, anyway.

have you had any indication from them regarding future updating/upgrading of the tune itself... mainly referring to the planned vF Ultimate enhancements? (not referring to extending the tune to new ECU cals)

CVC has indicated intent to apply Coyoza modifications to the planned Ultimate 2.0 tunes when they become available. And for the benefit of anyone else reading this, they also intend to create further Coyoza MT tunes for other ECU versions, such as upcoming 2022 models, 04A72, 04B42, etc.

Of course, Coyoza off of the Ultimate 2.0 tunes will require testing, because not all of the current Coyoza 1.3 modifications may be necessary, applicable, or even play nicely with the forthcoming "Ultimate" tune versions. Nonetheless, this testing and refinement will be in the hands of CVC, their network, and anyone else they may choose to assist with R&D at their discretion.

I am sure that CVC / @chanvchau would see value in a MT owner who is currently on the Coyoza tune (such as yourself) being able to assist with testing, but I do not want to speculate or create ideas because this is now their operation, not mine.

While I have you here, I'd like to thank you for the support you (and everyone else) have openly given myself and the Coyoza MT tune that became so popular. It really meant a lot to know that I'd been able to provide something that so universally made fellow 6MT owners happy and enjoying their trucks, and I didn't want to see it go away.

KD's attempt at a more aggressive/better throttle version for the MT is how I understand it. Word on the street is that it's not very great though.

you are very welcome. it's what so many of us wanted, so thanks back to you. and I'm happy to give it support where i can.

one question, is the dev a MT owner? it's not necessary, but I'm curious... we're already over the hump if they can keep the data intact however it relates, so I'm good, but, y'know...
i ran it for a couple months and it was smooth, but i still struggled with first and second as you've seen me mention over & over. compared to Coyoza it's not great. the MTs just need the juice down low and the ATs have no way to perceive it I'm guessing.

Chan himself has an AT, but I'm not privy to the others within his network or whomever he may have readily available local to him for R&D.

That is not inline with the feedback I have received from several KDMAX tuned owners. After initial test drives and weeks of use they are all very pleased. Small sample I know, but any truck/driver combo along with driving conditions can vary greatly so there is bound to be folks that prefer one option over another. But hey, I'm an AT driver and love how this can leave the line now! :spy:

Good luck with the continued efforts, it's great to have a TW community and competition to help make tune offerings better and better as VFTuner give us access to more and more!

Nonetheless, I have yet to personally see or hear of a MT owner go from KDMax/KDMax XT over to Coyoza and then return to KD. Keep in mind too that we are specifically discussing the MT tune, since you're an AT owner. This discussion does not concern the AT side, Coyoza stopped doing AT tunes awhile back. I am well aware of the success of other tunes offered for the AT's and 100% support it.

For KD for the MT, the trend seems to be initial happiness due to difference from stock along with probable euphoria over aggressive throttle settings followed by disappointment due to a flatter 1st and 2nd gear and all around less power availability down low as the drivers encounter more and more normal driving scenarios.

But as you say, the community driving improvement, competition, and encouragement is huge benefit for everyone and it will continue to grow and become even better over time.

Trends are not things that 'seem like'...in fact all my customers disagree. We are in discord but that's okay
Like you I to have yet to personally see or hear of any MT owner going from KDMAX XT to any other tune, they have no reason to change after months of driving. I am going to start collecting their testimonials after the honeymoon period and put those on my site. There's not better way to show how well a product works for someone and the professional services behind it when they freely provide constructive statements on their own real-world use. It avoids anyone using works like "probable" and "seems like" and let's potential buyers in on true experiences of others. Thank you for this great idea so I an to personally contact all my MT owners for some real statistics!

Well if you're going to do that, you may as well go after people who have been on multiple tunes for the MT. Get the ones that have been on KD, Coyoza, Valley Runner, etc.

Anyone who has only driven on only one user-edited tune after stock is going to be biased because that's all they know.

Regarding statistics, it's hard to quantify "feelings". By the nature of this whole venture, your statistics will be based off of people saying "probable" and "seems like" and stating their personal experiences, even if they state them in the factual manner, such as "1st gear is unquestionably stronger with x - tune." It's still their unquantifiable (on paper) experience

If you read the comments in this thread from people who have tried KD and gone to Coyoza for example, you will have heard of more than one MT owner go from KDMax XT to any other tune.

In addition, the M/T Tacoma Owners group on Facebook has several.

I'm like a damn broken record over here. i was on KD XT and was unsatisfied, and I've said why over & over. the pre-XT tune was ultra smooth but flat, and the XT tune lost much of the smoothness KD is known for, and was still flat especially in first & second. this is a MT tune and that's it's calling, so nobody is sure what you're on about. i found Coyoza and took the leap on @Shellshock 's suggestion and never went back. it's so so much better over here now. i would be happy to have this tune for the life of my truck

My original point was in post https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/coyoza-tune-development-and-feedback.719707/page-4#post-25993110 which I thought was pretty clear in that what was stated is not the feedback I am receiving from KDMAX XT owners that I have tuned, recently or otherwise. I just thought it fair perspective to not knock down a competitive offering with more perspective. I have driven the the tuned MT's and just don't share the same concerns or issues and I like the idea of getting testimonies of my customers after they settle in.

    The tune is still available.

Please reach out to the Coyoza_Tuning Facebook page or to Chan Chan directly and send a message to get in touch with Coyoza/Chan to either acquire the tune file or to be linked up with someone to tune you. I believe the CVC network does have people in SoCal.
