CP vs TRD Off Road Package

    Thanks for 'splaining what CP stood for!

    The Off Road 4WD has Active Traction Control and a locking rear differential. If you don't have one of these, you will (someday) get stuck or be unable to get someplace you want to go to.

    the CP "package" is still just the base model truck.

    the SR5 and the TRD are the real packages.

    if you want nothing other than the bare essentials dont get any upgrades. I would at least add the CP to get the cruise control and keyless entry.
    My last truck was the base model but the previous owner added aftermarket cruise and an alarm and im sure that cost more than 500

    Your right. I checked today. Only the X-Runner and TRD Sport aren't available with it.

    The Convenience package is $875. You don't get much with it. It's true it's just a base model with a couple of doo-dads.

    I'm leaning towards the SR5 or the Off-Road.
