    Hey guys!

So, I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on my first Taco and I haven't been able to find a new Taco in the configuration I want (sunroof) so I've decided to look into CPO. I found this one online and I have two questions if anyone can help me!

    1. What do you think of the price?
    2. According to carfax, it has two previous owners, one being a corporate fleet. What do you make of this and why would there be a second owner for such a short length? (Unless it is the dealer?)
    3. What is a good price to negotiate down to and does a military rebate apply to CPO?

Thanks guys, I'm located in the New York City area and here is a link to said Taco:

    https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for...1=TOYOTA&modelCode1=TACOMA&digitalRetail=true

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I paid less for a new one, but I lack the sunroof. I also have the poverty spec OR so no P&T that is on that one I think.
It's not a bad price, but 2 owners in 7,000 miles is interesting and would make me nervous that someone dumped a problem. I know you said one owner was toyota, but what about the other one?

Pay less than that. I paid marginally more than that for my 17 brand new in November 2018.

Just buy new for that price. I paid 36k for mine and it was fully loaded with the p&t, trd skid plate, trd shift knob, all weather floor mat, mud flaps. Don’t be scared, just dive in. It’s worth it.

I get the impression this was a dealership lease as either a manager’s vehicle, program vehicle, or parts department truck. When it came back in. It looks like they put it for sale, but continued to use it as a runner or loaner vehicle. As others have said, the price doesn’t stand out. I’m also slightly confused that it has tech package and premium options, but has cloth seats. I thought premium would be auto a/c, sunroof, and leather.

Leather didn’t happen till 2018. Before that it was only in the Pro.

Good price already. Offer 31k, settle at 32 and move on.

Thanks guys! For a new one, I'm looking at around 38k without negotiation and 33k for this one without negotiation. But this would mean that I can have a Taco in the driveway within a week with everything I want. It's been hard to find a fully loaded Taco up here.

    And yes, leather for 2018!

Thanks, would you think that there is anything here that would serve as a red flag?

It was in the shop several times the first 3500 miles. Whatever it was has likely been addressed. Go do an extensive test drive. Be sure to test 4hi and 4lo.

Nothing that screams. Expect that it wasn’t treated like a newborn and make sure the “included warranty” meets your needs should any issues arise (coverage/deductibles/exclusions). Definitely do a detailed walk-around in good light and take an extended test drive. Check all the features for function. They should have already been addressed, but better to have it listed in the “correct as part of sale” than later as a warranty issue. Welcome fellow MGM!

Can you travel some to pick up a vehicle? I'd start surfing the net. Motoworld in Wilkes Barre Pa. has some decent pricing on new. I saved around $4500 on my TRD OR and traveled just over 2hrs to get.

Shoot fly down to San Antonio Texas. They build them here. The dealers are chock-a-block with all versions. Be a pretty good shakedown cruise going home to New York State.

More than likely it has the 3rd gen transmission shifting issues that you may want addressed. Take a thorough test drive.
