Cr4 county roads in east texas

    Out riding back roads last weeekend in east texas, I ran up on a County Road that was very bad. Or in my case, just what i was looking for: ) On the sign, it reed CR4 4256. Can anyone tell me what the 4 stands for. And better yet, how do i go about finding more CR4 county roads. It doesn't show up on google or garmin as cr4, just cr. I just found it by accident. I've pretty much exhausted all my internet searchs.

    HWY 84 east out of Timpson 1 mile, co. rd. 1645 south 1.75 miles to cr4 4256. google show it as dead ending but it goes all the back to co 4037
