Has anyone else experienced cracked front mudflaps? My '07 4WD has 65K miles and both front mudflaps are cracked. At highway speeds, especially in a stiff crosswind, they make a thumping noise that's rather annoying. Then I find out that new ones are $94 each! The crack isn't visible, but if you examine things closely, you can plainly see where the plastic has given way. Is there a better option than OE?

Yep. Back when I had them on, (Had to remove them to fit 285's) Mine did that. I trimmed about 3-4 inches off the bottom of them and they stopped flapping around. Those things are so big they are a sail in the wind.

Yep, exactly what happened to my left front flap. Looked fine until I flexed it and then the crack was revealed. It started about an inch in length then kept expanding until it almost completely separated. And yeah, dealer & ebay costs are rediculous. I went back with stock ones I bought off a TW member that posted them up for sale... I knew fitment would be right whereas I wasn't so sure with aftermarket ones. Keep checking the 2nd gen BST thread.

I took the factory ones off my truck before it left the lot. If you want them I would take 150.00 for all 4.

All the second gen flaps should be the same.

You might want to take yours off before they break and mess up the paint on your door... I didn't, and had to spend some time buffing out the marks/scratches.

One of mine broke the first time I took it off road. They are too long!

Just keep an eye on the TW for sale section. Many folks remove them and sell them for varying prices.

I just discovered my drivers side front mud flap has cracked on my 2006 Pre Runner.
Can you purchase one from Toyota or do you have to buy the whole set? Also, does anyone know the PN of the Flaps and those Plastic Keepers that hold the Mud Flap on?
    Thanks!
