Cracked Rack and Pinion..WTH!!!!!!

I never saw this before and I looked here in the archives.
Driving to work this morning I noticed that the steering didn't feel *right*.
Pulled into the parking garage with the stereo down noticed that when I turned the wheel, it was moaning and sounded like low fluid. Went into work figured i'll check it out when I get off. got outta work and saw a puddle of fluid on the ground. Checked the PS fluid..empty. I went to a local mini-mart, picked up fluid, filled it up to get home. Got home, dropped the shield and saw that the rack was wet as well as the frame. Had the Wifey turn the wheel and PS fluid was coming out of two cracks on the center section next to the high pressure fitting.
Anybody ever see this before???
Not a happy camper...
