Here’s one for the “stock everything, but wheels hard” crew.

    Bet he’s got some cracking.

I will try to guide you how to check for cracks without taking the truck apart. You need a long arm and good feelings in you fingers

OPEN THE HOOD (not needed in West Virginia) and look down this hole next to the light (valid for both sides)
    pic 2.jpg

You are looking to visually find the cab support to the frame (where people replace the bushings)
    pic 3.jpg

This is a closer view of the support bracket.
    pic 4.jpg

That is the part that supports the cabin to the frame. Is the same part as in the picture below.
Next to it is the cabin area plate that is cracked in OP's pictures. Reach with your arm down the hole next to the light till to find/feel the support part. Then move your fingers a bit lower and along the edge of the cabin plate. If is smooth and continuous you're good, if you find cracks and tears you're screwed.
    pic 5.jpg

Compare your plate (by feel) to the OP's bad area.

I removed the OEM rubber screw hood bumper (that was a fucking piece of shit, total garbage, good for nothing SOB support) with a hood bumper from FORD :facepalm:and two washers. A lot better now and the hood is not moving LEFT to RIGHT as much now.

If you had a good structure to work with I wonder if filling it with high density foam would strengthen the structure enough. The newer poured ceramics used in boat transoms these days are increadably crush resistant.

same concept of YETI coolers. hence why they are grizzly rated.

believe you'd need to get a min of 1.5-2" of foam fill though, to get any real results.

that would be a pretty lame reason for banning someone.

It would be, but at least it's not a perma-ban.

Thread spamming I believe. He'll be back.
Easy there big shoots. Last I checked we don't have any obligation to post up in there. Speaking for myself I generally only do if I got some LOLs out of the situation surrounding the ban.
