Energy poly bushings all around here. I have had a few cracks that have been getting worse, and just recently have started hearing a sound that can be best described as torn/cracked sheet metal rubbing against itself. Before I start tearing the truck apart for that.. I'm wondering if any of you that have cracks, experienced a similar sound. I'm thinking its related for sure as the sound is coming from only the driver side where the cracks are.. and in that general area. I even think I can slightly feel it in the floorboard/firewall when driving. I thought it was the bushings or loose hardware for all the Energy bushings.. but they check out. I wanted to drill and weld the cracks before they get worse.. but maybe a full replacement is needed/better.

Yup sounds familiar. Took a long time for me to figure out where the noise was coming from. So far my psych job is holding up well though admittedly I haven’t put many miles on it since then.

You shouldn't. I spotted mine a couple months ago while wheeling. Energy Suspension poly bushings up front too. I had to go into the dealer for a free oil change anyway and asked them about it. "Your truck is heavily modified and that won't be covered by warranty. Looks like your core support though. You could try calling your insurance and filing a claim." Such BS. I have no clue when those actually cracked. I do have a high clearance front bumper that is steel and a winch up front. Like its been said before, my truck looks like the ones in the commericials now. And when that Trailhunter comes out, "heavily modified" should go out the flipping window, smh.

    With great difficulty...
In all honesty, they would probably have to grind out any welds, find a donor truck to grab parts from, tack it back together, then the rest of the truck.
Don't take my word for it though, I am no body shop mechanic.

I think it's more like replacing the whole front core support.

My local body shop just ordered me a whole new core support mine is cracked all the way through the top tie bars above the headlights and crack just about all the way though below the head light buckets. they are going to cut the old one out and weld a new support in.
