I will tell you though gel coat is a tricky bitch... its kinda like epoxy, but has a wax additive in it. I'm lucky in that the areas near me there area LOT of marine supply stores (fishing/sport fishing is a livelihood here), and they all carry resin, and gel coat, I can buy fiberglass CS mat, or weave by the foot/yard.... I recommend using cheap dixie party cups to mix the small amount of resin you will use.. and the small strips, and loose fiberglass you will use. and popsicle sticks as a mixing item.. you may use a few as the cup will get hot, and possibly melt if you leave resin in it too long.. make sure after you use the fiberglass CS that you grind it back a little for the gel coat to have a place to stick.. then apply gel coat and let it rise above the bed surface, then after it cures (a few hours), you can start to shape the gel coat,a nd get it smooth with the rest of the bed.. the texture will be a tricky part, but can be done with patience. top coat of matching black paint, and maybe some clearcoat will make it look OEM..

TrdPro grille, blackout badges. Pretty much stock.
Can't believe they're charging that much for a plastic bed, the equivalent of a metal truckbed liner. Might as well get a metal worker to make one in stainless with channels for strength. Better yet find a front end wrecked truck and cut out the dimensions you need. Yeah, plastic bed on a $40k truck is total bs. Dood should be offered a new one for free.
Yeah, I must have just had a rough day at work. Lol.

    Still thinking about it.
What is under the composite bed component. Just curious.. I should know this but haven't looked into it. Is it a bedliner of sorts or does it form the bed itself?

How bad is the rest of the truck? If this is the only issue, you probably are fine, but if you used the truck as a truck and the rest of it looks like this, you might be in trouble.

I probably wouldn't opt for a new $1200 bed. I would probably look for a used one on car-part.com. A new bed will stick out like a sore thumb unless the rest of the truck looks new.

Try again, but with the full story this time... "I think I hit a bump', lol...

Seriously though, the full details would be great so that others know what NOT to do to prevent this from happening.

Hit up your local boat builder and see what they can do. If not shouldn’t be to hard to find one at a salvage yard.

Would you rather a rusted out metal one? Broken composite beds are pretty rare.

I'm still suprised they dont offer, or include any kind of ribbing, or reinforcement for the bed itself. but this is a 1/4ton truck, not intended for heavy hauling, or use.. kinda looks like owner dropped a 400 log end intot he bed, and it just gave out...

If the dealer doesn't see it the leasing company will. I had Nissan call me before they closed the lease charging me for a dent that I did not do. Luckily I had pictures at the dealer when I turned it in so they had to drop the charge. So covering it up will only take you so far you need to repair before turning in.
