Here’s a pic of the backside of the valve cover 4x4 is sending me, the crack would be along the upper left corner in this pic. It looks like the crack happened on the external part of the cover.

This is just an example pic, not a pic of my cracked cover, for clarification.

Tell me about it  At least I have a new starter in, and I’ll be getting a proper window replacement early next week. And I just picked up a uniden R3. A million times better than my 10 year old 9500ix, or so I’ve read.

At least they didn't steal the truck, that's what I tell myself the 2 times mine was broken into.

I felt naked without one. I usually speed around town, not so much on the highway. Truck doesn’t like going over 75. :)

Yeah, I got a crime mapper alert today that said that 5 different car break-ins happened a neighborhood over, on the same street, all in the same night. This thief is getting awfully bold.

I've never had one, ticket was the one time I really ever railed the crap out of the truck, 94 in a 70, and I opted to take my one free ticket (thanks state of WA dot). Around town it just isn't worth it to me I don't really have any acceleration haha, but I can reach some good speeds. My truck is good to 90 without it feeling like a pain.

I am in the same boat. Anyone have a drivers side spare that will fit a 1999 3400?

Anyone else have a spare drivers side valve cover around? Really need to fix this as it is leaking really bad now.

When I broke mine, I got a Dorman PN 264-978. The valve cover comes with the gasket and spark plug tube gaskets. I don't necessarily "recommend" it, as OEM would be way better IMHO. But, given the price of the OEM valve cover plus new gasket, and if no one can come through for you with a used one, it is an option...
